Project 52 ~ Week #11

Hello There Friends!  Today I'm sharing my Project 52 page for week #11. It's a super simple page using cards from the March Project 12 kit in the app. I didn't even use any overlays or the collage feature this week... just clean and simple.

Have a Wonderful Day!

Ali Edwards Story Kits ~ Junior Year Band

Hello Friends!  Over the last 4 months, I've been working hard to finish up my son's band albums for Junior and Senior year. I've also been very intentional about using products I have... especially my Ali Edwards Story Kits. In addition to the Story Kits, I have lots of Ali's digital cards, so I printed lots of those as well.  Here are a few of the pages I made with these kits to finish up his junior year.

This page features the Time Story Kit along with my favorite little black sticker letters.

This page features the Details Story Kit and the title card is from the This & That digital kit.

This page features cards I printed form the Digital package called Great Story with chipboard embellishments from the Best and Lost & Found Story Kits.

And the cards from this last page features cards & chipboard embellishments from the Best & Lens Story Kits.

 Thanks for stopping by today!

Project 52 ~ Week #10

Hello Friends!  I can't believe it's Monday again... last week really flew by with my collage girl home.  For my Project 52 page this week, I used the Rad Edition kit, Rad Overlays, and Rad Calendar Overlays for all the cards.  I also used the collage feature for the top right photo to add a few more pictures and journaling.

AE Story Kits ~ Today's Details!

Happy Friday Crafty Friends!  Since I've been so hit and miss with posting lately, I thought I'd load up this blog post with several pages from my son's junior year 2016 marching band season.  I'm so happy that I was able to finish up all of his junior year & have now started on his senior year.

For my first page, I used several items from the Ali Edwards Details Story Kit & Story Stamp, as well as one of the cards from All the Love kit & embellishments from the Time Story kit.

This next page features Ali Edwards digital journaling cards from the Best, Drive & the Go Story Kits.  I changed the colors in Photoshop Elements to match my page.  I also used embellishments I had left from the Week in the Life & December Daily projects.

The next double page spread features items from the Surprise Story Kit along with some embellishments from the Bond & Give kits.

And my last page for today features products from the Fun Story kit & some really old sticker letters I had in my stash.

Enjoy Your Day!

Project 52 ~ Week #8

Hey There Friends!  I've kind of been out of the scrapbooking groove the last few weeks because my schedule hasn't allowed. However, I still have a page to share for my Project 52 album. My page for Week #8 is jam packed with both photos and journaling because there was so much going on last week both with our family & in our community.

I used the Project 52 Rad Edition, Project 42 Rad Calendars, and the Personal Yearbook Overlays kits for this page. I also used the collage feature of the Project Life App for the photo cards in the top row. For my daughter's photo, I needed to have it in a landscape orientation and for the flood photos, I wanted to add several pictures along with some additional journaling. Using the collage feature works perfectly for both of these types of issues. Once I finished the collage photo, I just saved it to my gallery and then pulled it into my page as a photo.

Enjoy Your Day!

Project 52 ~ Week #7

Welcome back!  I hope you've been having a good week so far. It is incredibly soggy in northern Indiana.  Today I'm sharing my Project 52 page from last week.  I used the new Project 12 - February kit along with overlays from High Five, Explorer, and Just Add Color.  For the "Hope + Dreams + Hard Work" card, it didn't have any colors added, so I downloaded it using the collage feature in the Project Life App and added the colors in Photoshop Elements.

Have a Wonderful Day!

{Embrace} One Little Word ~ February Prompt

Today I worked on the One Little Word prompt for February. This month's activity involved making a vision board for our word. Once again this year, I decided to put the page right in my album rather than make a larger canvas for my wall. I'm trying to live my word more this year, but document it a bit less then last year.

I found a new-to-me magazine at the store a few weeks ago and the gorgeous pink flowers on the cover really spoke to me so I flipped through it. It is called Life:Beautiful and it is a really nice publication ~ and at $5.99, it didn't break the bank either.  I also used a few phrases from an Ulta store advertisement as well as the February card & phrase stickers from the Ali Edwards One Little Word kit.

Enjoy You Day & Embrace the Journey!

Ali Edwards Story Kit ~ Celebrate Together

Hello Friends!  I've been working like crazy to get my son's junior year band album done so I can get started on senior year.  Well ... GUESS WHAT?  Over the weekend I finished his last few pages.  I'm super excited!!  I do a full album (like 100 layouts) for each school year.  I stated this madness when my daughter was a freshman and I'm determined to finish before my son graduates ~ that is a total of 8 super full albums!

Today it was actually sunny outside, so I took some pictures using natural light. To be honest, I'm not really sure it is any better then the light box I have set up in my basement.  These pocket pages are incredibly time consuming to photograph, so I'm not even going to try taking photos in the light box to see if they are better.

So anyway.... I wanted to share a few pages I made using the Ali Edwards Story Kit called For the Love.  It is a fun kit with lots of great journaling cards and embellishments.   I also added some coordinating supplies from older Story Kits here and there.

I love having the digital versions of the Story Kits because I can add my journaling in Photoshop Elements and then print them out like I did on the top left card on the page below.

Have A Wonderful Day!

Project 52 ~ Week 5

Hello Friends!

I promise I've been busy working on pages to share & will post some too.  The real problem is the gray and gloomy weather and the amount of time it takes to photograph those darn physical project life pages.  Plus... last week was super busy and I was out of town for three days.  So anyway, I'll share my latest Project Life App page.  I used the Project 12 - January and February kits for this page and included a bit of extra journaling this week.

Have a Wonderful Day!

Felicity Jane Kits ~ Remember Today

Hello There!  The other day I was looking for some photos from the end of the marching band season. I knew that a friend of mine had posted some, so I went searching. I found this gem of my son right after his last evening practice was over.  It is a bittersweet photo that made me tear up when I saw it.  His face showed so many emotions of accomplishment and satisfaction, and yet a bit of sadness too because his Concord Marching Band days were coming to a close.  Years down the road, I hope when he looks back on his years in band, he has this same look on his face.

For my layout, I selected products from several different Felicity Jane Kits ~ Reagan, Mila, and Willow that I can recall. I love how all of the products fit so beautifully together from kit to kit.

Enjoy Your Day!

Project 52 ~ Week #4

Welcome to Wednesday and another weekly page from my Project 52 Album.  This week my son was the "Star" of the show!  😊 He was awarded a contract to march with the Blue Stars brass line this summer & he's pretty darn excited about it!  For my page, I used the new Project 12 - January kit along with a card from the Teen Boy kit.

Have a Wonderful Wednesday!

Ali Edwards Story Kits ~ Marching Band Events

Welcome to a new week!  I didn't get a chance to get a blog post done yesterday, so I'll share 2 layouts with you today. I decided for both of these double layouts, that I wanted to go a bit minimal on the embellishments.  I had lots of photos from both Regionals and Semi-State, and wanted to include as many of them as I could.

For this first layout, I used journaling cards from the Ali Edwards Details Story Kit & digital stamps from the Drive Story Stamp. For the "Heart of the Matter" card, I changed the color of the letters to red, to coordinate with all the red in the photos and the theme of the show {Defence.les/Heart}.  On the Story Details card, I added journaling under the photo and added a pull tab.

For my Semi-State page, I again had tons of photos and wanted to include so many.  I used the grey tear-apart phrases from the 2017 Week in the Life kit with stars from the Best Story Kit.  I also used a journaling card from the digital version of the Best Story Kit.  Using Photoshop Elements, I changed the color of the star on the card to purple to match the title card & the background color to white from cream.

Thanks for Stopping By Today!
